It all started in the summer of 2000, as most things did in that summer! Nick Lewis decided to create a fansite, following the site of NECK WEB which was released on BTinternet . NECK WEB was all about Nick and his friends @ the time , Chris , Steve, and the "group". The site was closed on July 8th 2000.
Nick's hunger of creating sites wasn't finnished though , following the closure. On NECK WEB , 4 Muscians were featured , "THE HOT 4" , which they were known as , those being Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and a unknown to english ears in Mandy Moore.

Nick decided that he would carry on with one of the 4 , when looking on sites he gained a liking to Mandy , and when watching THE BOX , and CANDY was being played , he decided he'd create a website on Miss Moore. Set up to a Four sectioned Site , a Biography , Pictures page, Links , and Lyrics for Candy , the new mandy fansite was created called MANDYWEB, and released on BTinternet .

While talking to someone from the Offical Mandy Moore message board , Nick found out that he could get his own domain for the site by visiting CJB NET . He looked for mandyweb and created a new extension for the site @ http://www.mandyweb.cjb.net , in the sites first week , the site recieved 40 Hits . It wasn't amazing , but it was a start . Some people got involved with the site and helped gain hits .

In Septemeber 2000 , Nick took the steps of closing the site, despite it's gained popularity among the Mandy fans across the internet. In Novemeber , just two months after closing , Nick decided to go back and rebuild the site , working solidly on the site up until the 31st of December ! Launching the site on the 1st January 2002 . The come back! A new name too! MANDYMOOREWEB had been launched from the ruins of what was MandyWeb.

In the first week of the site being put up MandyMooreWeb recieved 342 Hits . Other Mandy Fansites took notice and asked to be affiliated with the site , this quite a shock for Nick who didnt' know what the word ment !!! But the first affiate with MandyMooreWeb was Your Face .

In February MandyMooreWeb got abbreviated to MMW. The hits came in fast and in droves . And It was in March that MMW got it's first 1,000 visitors. The site was offered on the 17th February it's own official Domain name of http://www.mandymooreweb.co.uk/ , Nick agreed with Freenetnames to take up the name. This helped to give the site a more official look and professional , MMW was sad to say goodbye to the MandyWeb domain :( , RIP ! Then MMW began to take shape with over 200 different pages, spreading from Downloads to A Shop , which helped to sell Mandy goods from outlets such as Amazon on the net.

It was on the night of Saturday 28th April that MMW will never forget . Put on the predeceasing Monday , Nick posted in the Mandy Moore Official forum for Mandy to come and view the site as Many fans were coming in , Nick thought the visit of Mandy would be amazing ! So on that Saturday , Nick got back from taking his best friend home , to view the message board and see that his post was top of the list , he view it and saw that Mandy had viewed MandyMooreWeb and put the following comment "COOL SITE! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND DEDICATION BABE!!!! XOXO" you can imagine the scenes following this! Sheer esterior !!!! Mandy had been to MandyMooreWeb !
Following the visit of Mandy the site hits went up , recording 200 hits a day the counter went up and reached 10,000 soon after the vist of Mandy , so MMW Has alot to owe in debt to Miss Moore. Thank You!

Another tribute to Mandy which MMW had been running since January was the FANS OF MANDY list , where anyone could sumitt there name and location , the list is growing day by day! coming from all walks of life from England to Camen Islands! Also MMW has made many friends along the way including Eden , Alison , Mikael and Ronald. These guys have helped this site become what it is , and you guys and many others of you have as much right to be as proud about this site as Iam!

In November of 2001 , MMW was again closed for a re-vamp . The deadline for re-lauch was the 24th of December but we missed it due to a technical fault, which was soon sorted out .The site then came back on the 28th nearly a year after it's first birth of the new MMW . The site has since become a bigger and better site , the forum (message boards) get used frequently and MMW has still got time to mature and become the biggest Mandy Fansite in the world , You guys can help ! May MandyMooreWeb grow into something Amazing!

On The 3rd of September 2002 , MandyMooreWeb re-launched once again . The much awaited version5! was finally complete and all the extra new features to the site were added. A New Splash Opening was created. Also a radio station was set to be added .
